This home in South Salem was quickly feeling smaller as the family was growing larger.

The homeowners dreamed of adding a master suite and transforming their small outdated kitchen into a grand kitchen/dining area. They needed more space, some privacy for the master suite, and a wanted their new kitchen/dining area to feel more connected to their beautiful surroundings.

The existing sunroom was removed to make room for the new grand kitchen.

The foundation was built for a double addition.

With nearly 560 square feet added, the new home was going to be exactly what the homeowner envisioned.

NEW FLOOR PLAN
The master suite was relocated for privacy, the grand kitchen boasted vaulted ceilings, natural light was maximized with large windows and doors, and the entire space now encapsulated the beautiful acreage that surrounded the home.

BEFORE
This home in West Salem was about to undergo a necessary transformation. The homeowner always felt that the original home was “missing something”.

ORIGINAL FLOOR PLAN
The existing dining room was too small for hosting family gatherings and the family needed a space to enjoy the amazing view – from inside the home as well as outside on the deck.

PROPOSED FLOOR PLAN
The additional dining space would allow the entire family to sit together during family gatherings, and the new interior space would allow for the perfect view (out of the rain). The new composite deck and metal railing would add to the overall appeal of the home and property.
